Review: Star Wars # 4 (No Digital Copy? What’s With That Dark Horse?)

The fourth issue of Brian Wood’s “Star Wars” adds new mysteries and characters to the “Shadow of Yavin” story arc.

Han and Chewie are still on the run from Imperial TIE Fighters as they attempt to complete their mission for Mon Mothma on Coruscant.

Meanwhile. Luke has been benched by Leia, following the events of last issue. Mon Mothma, acting independently, sends Leia’s secret X-Wing Gray Squad on a mission of the utmost importance.

An interesting new character, in the service of Darth Vader, promises to have the second Death Star ready for the emperor “on schedule.”

Writer Brian Wood, and artist Carlos D’Anda are doing an exceptional job at telling stories in between the classic films.

Fans of the classic trilogy should love this series and how it fits in the Star Wars mythos. Wood is doing an excellent job with old favorites, and new characters alike, and Carlos D’Anda is superb at fleshing out the look for the characters and technology of the Star Wars Universe.

For some reason Dark Horse did not include a code for a digital copy of the issue with the print version, as they did with issues 1-3.  (This sucks!  What’s up with that Dark Horse?)
