Review: Uncanny X-Force # 3

The third issue of the re-launched “Uncanny X-Force” has a number of plot threads coming to conclusion, while at the same time beginning anew.

 Uncanny X-Force 3

Storm, Puck, and Psylocke’s mission has led them to the exiled Spiral of the Mojoverse.  The characters are fighting over a new mutant, one who has the power to create powerful hallucinations in others.

The return of Bishop is a key part of this opening story arc.  Bishop has been lost in the time stream for a few months, and it’s nice to see the character returning to the X-books.

The fight scene between Psylocke and Bishop is the highlight of the issue.  Humphries and Garney have crafted the best looking fight this week!  (Am I the only one who thinks Bishop is acting like a Vampire?)

The Creative team to follow up Rick Remender’s superb run on the title is a difficult task but Sam Humphries and Ron Garney have handled the challenge well.  Garney’s artwork this issue is some of the best of his career!

Humphries interpretation of Bishop’s mind, is fresh and unique.  Adrian Alphona provides the pencils for those pages, and they are some of the best of the entire issue, it’s nice seeing him on a Marvel book again.
