Review: Age of Ultron # 3

After a week off , “Age of Ultron # 3” is here!  “Age of Ultron” is a 10-issue crossover event published by Marvel Comics, written by Brian Michael Bendis, which involves the return of Ultron and his conquest of the Earth.

We are now three issues in, and readers still don’t have any clue on how Ultron has taken over the world.  There are hints in this issue that this may not be the actual 616 universe, the biggest being this issues “death” of Black Panther.

The heroes of New York move their story a bit farther in issue 3, but readers are still not sure why.  The lack of knowledge is this series’ real downfall at the moment.  Readers are so confused by the continuity problems presented in this issue, making it hard to think about anything else going on in the comic.

Bryan Hitch is the artist on issue 3, and as with the previous two issues, his artwork is superb.

“Age of Ultron” is gaining traction, but it’s obviously not happening in the here and now, and readers are still not sure where or if this is actually happening, which is making it hard for us to care.
