Review: Uncanny X-Men # 3

Uncanny X-Men 3

The third issue of the re-launched “Uncanny X-Men” is basically Avengers vs X-Men 2. The Avengers finally meet up with Cyclops and his revolutionary X-Men while in Australia visiting the new mutant Tempus’ family.

Round 2 is written by Brian Michael Bendis and is more a battle of philosophies rather than the usual fisticuffs. This issue does have quite a number of talking heads, with Bendis’ trademark dialogue in full effect. This comic also showcases just how funny Bendis can be with new mutants Benjamin Deeds, and Fabio Media reacting to seeing the Hulk for the first time.

Chris Bachalo’s art work is stunning. The new costume designs for Cyclops and Magneto are just awesome.

Issue 3 of Uncanny X-Men brings readers a number of new questions to ask themselves as to whether whose perspective they agree with… Captain America’s or Cyclops’?
